Tile Country was built from experience—and a desire to do things differently.
The founder grew up in a family tile and bath business in South Africa, one that’s been running for over 35 years. After completing an MBA, he moved into the global tile and bathroom industry in Dubai, spending five years working with leading international brands across tiles, taps, and bathware.
When he and his wife relocated to Melbourne, he planned to stay in the industry—but opening a showroom proved more complicated than expected. With Melbourne’s size and the scarcity of high-quality retail spaces, it became clear that the traditional approach wasn’t the most efficient path forward.

That challenge sparked a bigger idea: take tile and bath retail online—make it simpler for customers, and do it properly.
That’s how Tile Country began.
